Microsoft 365 setup & licensing
The right licences for how your team actually works, configured properly rather than left on Microsoft’s defaults.
Microsoft 365 & cloud
Microsoft 365 is where most small businesses now live - email, files, calls, meetings, all in one place. That makes it worth setting up properly, backing up independently, and supporting by people who understand it isn’t just email, it’s the whole business running through one connection.
What’s included
From first migration through to day-to-day support, configured around how your team actually works rather than left on default settings.
The right licences for how your team actually works, configured properly rather than left on Microsoft’s defaults.
Email, files and data moved across in planned stages, so your team keeps working throughout.
A real, restorable copy of your Microsoft 365 data - separate from Microsoft’s own retention settings, which aren’t a substitute for backup.
Day-to-day help with the tools your team relies on, plus security settings kept current as Microsoft’s platform evolves.
Our approach
Microsoft 365 and Azure have had repeated major outages over the past year, and most small businesses have no documented plan for what to do when it happens. We treat “what happens if this goes down” as a question worth answering up front - independent backup, a written outage playbook, and an alternative way for your team to communicate if Teams or Outlook are unreachable - none of which requires an expensive multi-cloud setup, just a proportionate response to a real, recurring risk.
Because we also manage the security and IT support around it, Microsoft 365 doesn’t sit as a separate product from the rest of your setup. Access management, phishing-resistant MFA and endpoint protection are handled by the same team, rather than being someone else’s problem when something in the cloud environment turns out to affect a device, or vice versa.

Not in the way most people assume. Microsoft’s retention settings are built to prevent accidental deletion for a limited window, not to give you an independent, restorable copy of your data. A proper third-party backup for Microsoft 365 is inexpensive and is one of the highest-impact things a small business can put in place.
It doesn’t have to be. We plan migrations around your working hours and existing email/file setup, and handle mailbox and data transfer in stages so your team keeps working throughout. Most staff notice very little beyond a short period of double-checking a few things moved across correctly.
Microsoft’s cloud services have had several major outages in the past year alone. We help clients put proportionate resilience in place - independent backup, a written outage plan, and an alternative way to communicate if Teams or Outlook are unreachable - so an outage is an inconvenience, not a crisis.
Yes, though it usually works best as part of a single managed IT relationship, since licensing, security settings, backup and general support all touch the same environment. We’re happy to discuss either approach.
