Refer a business, you both save

Customer Referral Programme

Last updated: 27 August 2026

Refer a business. You both save 20%.

Introduce another business to Valetech and, if they become a qualifying managed IT support customer, they’ll receive 20% off their first month’s Qualifying Support Charges and you’ll receive 20% off your next month’s Qualifying Support Charges — up to £250 each. Terms and conditions apply, as set out below.

The Valetech Customer Referral Programme is our way of thanking existing customers who recommend Valetech to other businesses.

When an eligible referral becomes a Valetech managed IT support customer, both the referring customer and the new customer can receive a discount on their monthly managed IT support charges, subject to the terms below.

1. Who can make a referral?

The Referral Programme is available to existing Valetech Solutions Ltd customers with an active monthly managed IT support agreement.

The referring customer’s account must be active and in good standing at the time the referral reward becomes due.

2. What counts as a qualifying referral?

To qualify for the Referral Programme:

  • The referred organisation must be a new prospective Valetech customer.
  • The referred organisation must not already be a Valetech customer.
  • The referred organisation must not already be in an active sales discussion, quotation process or other substantive commercial discussion with Valetech at the time of the referral.
  • The referral must result in the referred organisation entering into a new monthly managed IT support agreement with Valetech.
  • The referral must be identifiable as having been made by the referring customer.

Where more than one person or organisation claims the same referral, Valetech will determine which referral qualifies based on the circumstances and the original introduction.

Referrals between businesses under the same ownership or control do not qualify unless agreed by Valetech in advance.

3. How to make a referral

We recommend making a referral by introducing the prospective customer to Valetech by email and copying info@valetech.net into the introduction.

The prospective customer should be aware that their details are being shared with Valetech and that the introduction is being made.

Please do not provide another person’s personal contact details to Valetech without their knowledge.

4. What does the new customer receive?

When a qualifying referred business enters into a monthly managed IT support agreement with Valetech, the new customer will receive:

20% off their first month’s Qualifying Support Charges, up to a maximum discount of £250.

The discount will normally be applied to the new customer’s first invoice containing their monthly managed IT support charges.

5. What does the referring customer receive?

For each successful qualifying referral, the referring customer will receive:

20% off their next month’s Qualifying Support Charges, up to a maximum discount of £250.

The referral reward becomes due once the referred customer has:

  1. entered into a monthly managed IT support agreement with Valetech; and
  2. paid their first invoice in full.

The discount will then be applied to the referring customer’s next available invoice containing Qualifying Support Charges.

If the referred customer’s agreement does not proceed, or their first invoice is not paid, no referral reward will become due to the referring customer.

6. Qualifying Support Charges

For the purposes of the Referral Programme, Qualifying Support Charges means the recurring monthly charges for Valetech’s managed IT support services.

Unless Valetech expressly agrees otherwise, the following are excluded:

  • Hardware and equipment
  • Microsoft 365 and other software or licensing
  • Security, backup and other third-party subscriptions
  • Internet connectivity and telecommunications services
  • Hosting and cloud infrastructure charges
  • Domains and related services
  • Project and installation work
  • Consultancy
  • On-site or other chargeable work outside the managed support agreement
  • Expenses and disbursements
  • Any other third-party, one-off or non-support products and services
  • VAT and other applicable taxes

The 20% discount is calculated against the customer’s Qualifying Support Charges before VAT, subject to the £250 maximum discount.

7. Multiple referrals

There is no set limit on the number of qualifying referrals an eligible customer can make.

Each successful referral can generate a separate referral reward.

Where a customer has earned multiple referral rewards, Valetech may apply multiple credits to the same invoice or carry credits forward to subsequent invoices.

Referral credits cannot reduce an invoice below £0 and will not result in a cash payment.

8. Referral credits

Referral rewards:

  • Are provided as account credits or discounts against Qualifying Support Charges.
  • Have no cash alternative.
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Cannot normally be transferred to another customer or account.
  • Cannot be used against excluded products or services.
  • Cannot be used to settle overdue invoices unless agreed by Valetech.

If the referring customer ceases to be a Valetech managed IT support customer before an earned referral credit can be applied, any unused referral credit will expire and no cash payment will be made.

9. Existing opportunities

The Referral Programme is intended to reward customers for introducing genuinely new opportunities to Valetech.

A referral will therefore not normally qualify where Valetech was already actively discussing services with the prospective customer, had already issued a quotation or proposal, or had otherwise established a substantive sales opportunity before the introduction was made.

Valetech’s records will be used to determine whether an existing sales opportunity was already in progress.

10. Privacy and marketing

Information received as part of a referral will be handled in accordance with Valetech’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

An introduction to Valetech does not automatically provide consent for the referred individual to receive unrelated marketing communications.

We will use the information provided through the introduction for appropriate purposes connected with responding to the referral, discussing our services and managing the prospective customer relationship.

11. Misuse of the programme

Valetech reserves the right to refuse, cancel or withdraw a referral reward where we reasonably believe that:

  • A referral is fraudulent or misleading.
  • The programme is being manipulated or abused.
  • The referral does not represent a genuine new business opportunity.
  • Incorrect information has been provided.
  • The referral otherwise does not meet these terms.

12. Changes to the Referral Programme

Valetech may amend, suspend or withdraw the Referral Programme at any time.

Where reasonably practicable, changes will not affect a qualifying referral that was validly made before the relevant change or withdrawal.

The terms in force at the time a referral is made will normally apply to that referral.

13. General

Participation in the Referral Programme does not create any agency, partnership, employment or other representative relationship between the referring customer and Valetech.

Referring customers must not make commitments, guarantees or representations on behalf of Valetech.

Valetech reserves the right to determine whether a referral meets the eligibility requirements of the programme. Any such determination will be made reasonably and in accordance with these terms.

Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
